Adopted Ballot SC25 defining new HTTP domain validation methods

The CA/B Forum, the regulator in the SSL certificate industry, adopted Ballot SC25 by a majority vote. This ballot defines methods for HTTP domain validation. According to the new requirement, method 6 (3.2.2.4.6) from the document “Baseline Requirements for the Issuance and Management of Publicly-Trusted Certificates” is considered to be discontinued.

Ballot SC21: proposal for log integrity control has been approved

By majority vote, the CA/B Forum (the SSL regulator) accepted Ballot SC21, a proposal to improve log integrity control. The main goal of the proposal is to finalise the Network and Certificate System Security Requirements document, which was approved on 3 August 2012, with implementation beginning on 1 January 2013.
